Home base for the whole city
Tampa is home base for World Class, so most of the city is a short trip. Seminole Heights is about 8 minutes out and South Tampa about 13. Ybor City, Westshore and New Tampa to the north are in range too.
Housing runs wide here. Craftsman bungalows from the 1910s and 1920s fill Seminole Heights and Tampa Heights, mid-century block ranches line other streets, and new infill builds fill the gaps. South Tampa adds Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, Davis Islands and Bayshore Boulevard.
What gets built on Tampa lots
An older bungalow usually wants a driveway that suits the house, in broom-finish concrete or pavers. A block ranch with a cracked drive is often a straight replacement. Live oak roots do most of the lifting.
Out back, paver patios and pool decks lead the requests. Older yards often have settled walkways that need repair or a fresh pour, and a newer block home may just need a proper apron at the street.
- Concrete and paver driveways
- Paver patios and pool decks
- Sidewalks and walkways
- Slabs for sheds, generators and spas
- Concrete repair and retaining walls
Permits, oaks and sandy soil
Anything in the city right of way, like a driveway approach or a sidewalk, usually needs a City of Tampa permit. James knows that process and guides you through it. Ask about it at the estimate, before anything is poured.
The ground is sandy and summer storms are heavy. Base prep and slope decide whether a slab drains or holds water against the house. Roots from big oaks get planned around too.
Getting a free estimate
Call (813) 938-0930 or send the form for a free estimate. James looks at the space himself, talks through the options, and lays out the plan and any permit steps.
Once the plan is agreed, the crew handles the pour or the paver install and cleans up after. Hours are Monday to Friday 7 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 3 PM, and World Class holds a 4.9 on Google.
Tampa questions
Do I need a permit to replace my driveway apron in Tampa?
Work in the city right of way, such as a driveway approach or a sidewalk, usually needs a City of Tampa permit. James can tell you what your project needs at the free estimate and guide you through the process.
Will live oak roots crack a new slab?
They can lift one over time. James checks where the roots run during the estimate and plans the base, slope and layout with them in mind. Sandy soil and summer storms make that prep matter.
